The Quad-Lock team is used to developing industry-leading ICF products, but they were not sure if they would be as successful in the realm of conference hosting. Not knowing any other way to do things, Quad-Lock staff broke their backs in planning and hosting the first ever Team Quad-Lock Conference, and it was worth it. As one dealer put it “This was as close to perfect for a first conference as I can imagine”. The conference ran from March 21-23, 2002 and was attended by Quad-Lock dealers from all over Canada and the United States.
Quad-Lock Dealers are aggressive and entrepreneurial. As partners, Quad-Lock and its Dealers share a vision based on three fundamental commitments: commitment to quality, commitment to training and commitment to marketing.
Quad-Lock demonstrated their commitment to their dealers by providing travel and accommodation for all attendees. One of the speakers at the conference commented that they had been to other such meetings, but had never experienced such a generous host.
Those who attended the conference participated in interactive workshops, project tours and training programs. Speaker presentations focused on topics such as closing sales, performing job estimates, and marketing strategies. A healthy dose of fun was incorporated into the conference through activities such as skiing and snowmobiling down the peaks of Whistler Mountain and a beautiful Vancouver harbour dinner cruise.
The upbeat and open atmosphere of the conference played a key role in the success of the meetings. Dealers felt comfortable expressing their ideas and sharing techniques that they have found to be effective in promoting Quad-Lock. Many of the dealers commented that the “fast paced agenda was full to the last moment”. The best comment of all came from all of the dealers who attended the conference – that they would all come again.
Quad-Lock Building Systems began in 1994 with the sole purpose of providing the building market with an alternative system that would conserve energies, but still offer exceptional design versatility and ease of use.
Quad-Lock panels are made from expanded polystyrene and offer a number of benefits when compared to other types of construction. Walls are inherently airtight and better insulated (lower energy costs), quieter (STC Rating of 57), fire proof (3-4 hour rating), resistant to natural disasters (earthquakes, tornados, hurricanes, etc.), non-toxic and not susceptible to rot.
